Binnilidh Mhor B&B

This stay will forever set the bar really high for our BnB stays. It’s all we ever wanted: Sheila and Allan are so welcoming and their conversations are so interesting. They made sure right away that we felt very comfortable, and their attention to details is unmatched. The breakfast was delicious and they are so easy to talk about accommodations like gluten free. The house is spotless and so clean. We felt like we were visiting family. The location of the house was a perfect home base for our couple days of exploring around (Inverness, fort Williams, glen Affric, working sheepdogs, isle of Skye…) it was so convenient and we were looking forward to come back every night to our cosy stay. They know the area really well and are so resourceful with great recommendations. We will remember the restaurant in the hotel 10 minutes away for a long time. I can’t believe they do not charge more for the room, as I felt like it was a luxurious stay. We stayed in other BnB close by and the experience was completely different, more like a fast and cheap stay, nothing like here. I think anybody visiting Scotland needs to spend a couple nights here. Everything - truely amazing room and hosts. It is their home too. Modern facilities in room as in filter kettle, fridge, coffee machine. Fully stocked with coffee pods/tea bags etc with fresh milk in the fridge and bottles of water. USB sockets, Wi-Fi, tv. Choice of breakfasts and whether to have in your room or at shared table. We had continental in our room it was massive with fresh fruit salad, croissants, butter, jam, berries, yogurt, muesli. A lot is home made and tastes delicious. It is in a very rural location but hosts provide very exact directions and are very friendly and approachable. Beautiful setting and saw deers on the drive at 6am when I woke up. Great location for Loch Ness and surrounding areas.

My husband and I stayed here for three decadent nights. We love being able to settle in and explore an area without having to check in and check out everyday. The bed and breakfast was exceptional. We love being able to see popular local without having to deal with tons of tourists. Binnilidh was a great choice to visit Loch Ness, the Black Isle and Isle of Skye. They gave us back routes that were so scenic that we never would have found. Breakfast was outstanding and so delicious.

I really enjoyed my stay here even though it was only for one night. I wish it was more. The room was spacious and the large bed was so comfortable. The hosts, Alan and Sheila, were such nice, friendly people, and the breakfast was delicious! We had our breakfast served out in the 'summer house', and I couldn't have been more pleased. The location was a little out of the way but it was easy to find. I certainly would return to Binnilidh B&B.

The entire home is modern and immaculate. Our bedroom was spacious, with incredibly comfortable beds and pillows with high quality linens. The bathroom had a gorgeous soaking tub and separate shower with adjustable, large shower head. The toiletries included the standard shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer as well as bath bubbles and pillow spray. Our breakfast was served on lovely Scottish themed pottery, in the delightful all pine Summer House. The food was delicious and the options plentiful. Our hosts Alan and Sheila were absolutely charming and gave us a warm welcome. Binnilidh Mhor is only about a 5 minute ride from the main thoroughfare, on a quiet, narrow road that is perfect for strolling to take in the fabulous views of the mountains, greenery and grazing cattle. We were looking for an off-the-beaten track place between Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye and could not have been more pleased with Binnilidh Mhor. I can’t imagine a more perfect place and hope to get back, but next time for a longer visit!
